About MyKin
Everyone has their own way of living. We believe the technology around them should respect that.
Why we’re building MyKin
We’re developing MyKin to help people stay independent and give families and care teams useful information to support them. By bringing smart-home devices together in one managed service, we aim to make that technology easier to use, from installation to everyday support.
Small changes in everyday routines can be difficult to notice, particularly when family members live elsewhere or staff are supporting several people.
MyKin is being developed to make those changes easier to see. At home, our focus is on understanding familiar routines over time. In care homes, MyKin Night Assist focuses on overnight alerts to staff, alongside the home’s existing systems and care processes.
What matters to us
Independence and choice
Support should fit around a person’s life, preferences and familiar surroundings.
Useful information
Families and care teams need information they can understand and use, with clear visibility when a device or connection needs attention.
Technology with human support
Choosing devices is only the beginning. Our planned service brings together installation, setup and ongoing technical support.
Respect for privacy
What is collected, who can see it and how it is used should be clear to the people involved.
Help shape MyKin
MyKin is in development. We welcome conversations with families, care providers and housing partners interested in helping shape the service.
